Back 'home'

It's already 2 weeks now since i'm back in the UK and a lot of things happened already.
The school is still the same but on the weekends
me and my friends do lots of exciting and fun stuff.
We go to the cinema quite a lot and also party of course! ^^

I stole this one from my friend..

The weather is really killing me tho..
Can you imagine that since i am back here i think there was only one day without rain?!
it is not even only the fact of rain but the fact of the depressing atmosphere - the grey sky, the cold and wet air, that is making me feel upset.
Some of my friends are getting bad headaches from the weather and others just go totally grumpy,
I guess pretty much everyone has their only negative reaction to the weather.
It is simply so frustrating..

Other than that i have some quite surprising news -
i started watching k-drama (= korean drama series)
I just started watching 'The Heirs' (상속자들 - 왕관을 쓰려는 자, 그 무게를 견뎌라
& love it already.
I think it's because i was kind of influenced by my best friend who's from Hong Kong and constantly watches korean drama when i'm at home. I've missed the voices and the melodies of the korean TV because i've got so used to it during the winter vacation.
But maybe it's also because i simply miss my friend and that is something,
i can assossiate with him - dunno..
The only thing i'm sure about is that i really like it and it makes me feel happy.
It's even interesting - the only thing that's a bit exhausting is reading the subtitles all the time in order to understant what they are saying.
However if you are a fan of korean drama and haven't watched 'The Heirs' yet,
I can highly recommend you to do so..;)

Thank you for reading! :)

Looking Forward Christmas..

I'm sooooo looking forward this christmas vacation,
you have no idea how exhausted i am from school
since it lasts from august until now without a single break.
It is still very different in comparison to school in luxemburg where we have additional holidays and the autumn vacation.
it just makes it feel like a lot less vacation here in england,
even though i know it is about the same amount of days we get off.
Since there are the second subject assemblies running at the moment
and the teachers have to write our second reports school is quite busy as well.
I just finished a 1000 word essay for TOK about 'knowing through imagination'.
I'm also looking forward going to japan, see my friends again,
and of course going back home! ~\(^o^)/
I have to admit I actually didn't really miss my family awfully much
but i think it will be nice to see them all again anyway
(and my beloved dog of course!)

I spend much free time these days focussing on my school work but as well
listening to music, watching movies and with my friends.
it is actually still unbelievable for me i've already made so many friends
in the short time i'm at EF and i love the fact that they're all international
since it makes it way more interesting~

Here a bunch photos ;3

my new boyfriend.. i call him johnny ;)

last but not least a selfie (of course) (*^^*)♪

if you like the filter i've used on these pictures you should try out the app 'afterlight' - it gives awesome effects and looks to your photos (◕ ‿ - )

Torre Abbey Café - My Very First Article for the Impact Magazine

I'm soo looking forward our first issue of the Impact magazine
for which i'll write a column about trips you can do in the area of torbay.
So here's a short 'Preview' of what my first article will look like〜

_______________________________________________________________

With Love from the Torre Abbey Café

You still feel a little new and are looking for interesting things to do in Torquay?
Well, this is the absolute right page for you then!
As in the Headline already said, this article is about the Torre Abbey Café which is seriously one of the cutest, most lovely places in whole Torbay! It might be a little hard to find but in the end you'll be absolutely rewarded & it shouldn't be such a big problem with my trip-advising-map.
But first things first! - this is what expects you on my fabulous, cute little place of the week...

You enter the room and are immediately taken by the comfortable and cozy atmosphere
- just like in grandma's living room! -
As you walk in you start smelling the flavours of coffee, tea and all different types of cake
and when you finally take a seat and notice all the cute, little details it makes you really feel like home.
well for me, there is no better place in whole Torquay for having cream tea & scones then the Torre Abbey Café. But why don't you come and see for yourself?

The Torre Abbey Café ~

it's a full drawer of food lol, can you imagine?
just to insure I won't starve :3

that's all for the moment...

i've met new super friendly people and made friends with them,
done a lot of crazy things in the time i'm already here and simply enjoyed life.
here are some pictures of the lovely, little town torquay,
which the lucky me can call her new home for the next 2 years~

i loved the day we went to the big wheel (*´ω`*)ノ
it definitely gives you the best view over torquay and you can take wonderful photos
(just like me^^)
i definitely recommend you to do this when you come to torbay and the weather is nice.

well, not such a nice part, at least not for me, is the homework i get .

England, I'm coming!~ ♬

Omg, tomorrow will be the day of my departure and i'm sooooo nervous..
i can't describe it in words.. (~o~)
my feelings are a mix of 'looking forward' and 'being afraid' 〜
my 'looking forward' ego says :
»hey, you're gonna have a great time and make a lot of new friends over there!(*^^*)«
and the 'being afraid' alter ego is like:
»Just think about nobody is going to like you there and
you're gonna get into a really strange and unfriendly host family
who you'll have to stay two years with! TWO YEARS!(;_;)«
you see, i'm so nervous.. but actually (and that is the good thing!) my positive alter ego is stronger at the moment and this nervousness is more an excitement.
let's come to the facts i already know about this 'journey', if you can still call it that...
( i mean i'm gonna stay there for 2 years!)
well, i'll go to the EF International Academy in Torbay, UK, to get my IB-Diploma
which basically is nothing else than an international A-Level.
except some signatures of me and my parents for the contracts and the flight
the EF team actually organized everything for me and
i'm soo thankful for it! they were a really big help.
if you're also interested into an IB-Diploma-Programme or an english graduation (A-Level),
which will make it much easier to apply to international universities
(especially in english speaking countries)
just check their website they're really good!

all this preparation stuff was pretty stressful and really tiring for me omg, i'm SO tired !
(as you can see in the photo_| ̄|○)
