Ditching foundations for summer!

Okay, so I've decided to be more natural this summer. That means abandoning all my foundations and concealers (as well as BB creams) for the season and relying on nothing but mascara, maybe some eyeshadow and lipsticks.
I decided to do so because I really wanna give my skin a break from all the powder and foundations and allow it some time to breathe and recover.
Of course this concept doesn’t only bring positive points, so I've spent some time thinking of all the positive AND negative points of wearing no make up and this is what I've come up with:

Pros
  • learning to be body positive & learning to love your face!-
  • make-up can cause serious skin problems
  • make-up can make your skin age quicker
  • allow your skin to breathe
  • time saving
  • cost saving
  • it's less stress

Cons
  • people will assume you're sick or tired all the time since you look ‘paler’ than usual
  • you won’t have the opportunity to cover up irregularities
  • might make you feel a little insecure until you get used to it
  • might make you a little lazy
  • you miss the fun time trying out new make-up techniques and looks

I am now in week 3 of completely having abandoned any foundations OR BB creams from my face and I think my bare skin already feels and looks so much better. It also actually appears cleaner and brighter than before. In addition to that not wearing make-up makes it so much easier to occasionally catch your face or rub your eyes when they’re itchy! Okay, this might appear as a bit of a funny one but I am one of these people that tend to rub or scratch their eyes a lot so wearing no make-up actually gives me the opportunity to do this without having to be extra careful or even having to avoid doing it at all, haha.
I am not gonna mention men’s opinion on this topic since most men will say »I don’t like make-up on women« but in the end actually prefer women who wear make-up because, let’s face it, they don’t actually have an idea what a real 'bare face' looks like. Lol.
But seriously girls, YOU are you're BIGGEST critic. Nobody criticizes and scrutinizes you as much as you do yourself! So maybe when you get up with the decision not to wear make-up next time and notice a small pimple on your forehead, just keep in mind that you might actually be the only one who even notices it.

Regardless of the Contra points or any man's opinion on my 'bare face', I am determined to stick to my decision and my motto for this summer is:

Don’t modify the way you are because you’re beautiful just like this!
Embrace your natural beauty!

What do you think?

Chanel x Zara

This is one of my favourite summer outfits!
It's very light and casual but still looks stylish.
For the look I've combined my striped Zara tunic, Lamoda ankle boots and a
convenient hand bag by Chanel. It's so simple.

The comfortable linen material of the tunic allows my skin to breathe even in hot and humid weather.

For my make-up I've used:

  • Canmake Perfect Serum bb cream 01 light
  • It's Skin Babyface Blusher in peach
  • Estée Lauder Pure Color eyeshadow
  • Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme mascara
  • Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner by Koji
  • & EOS lip balm in mint to enhance my lips natural look

And this is the result:

I'm quite happy with it, especially because I could now finally prove people wrong who kept telling me
I'd look like an me or goth with 'smokey eye' make up. Yeah, such a goth..

I hope you enjoyed this post - I'll hopefully have the chance to post more look posts asap!

Vassen Jewel Brown 〜 Circle Lens Review ☆

Helly everyone,
This is my review about Vassen Jewel Brown Circle Lenses ~

With Flash

Here are the Lens Details:

Brand: Vassen
Diameter: 14,5mm
Water Content: 42%
Base Curve: 8,6mm
Replacement: 1 year

Here's what they look like when I put them on:

indoors without flash

Enlargement:
These lenses make my eyes look really big which is enhanced by the darker outer circle.
The golden brown effect looks very pretty too, especially on photos when they are taken with flash.

Comfort:
The lenses are very comfortable but the eyes get quite itchy after wearing them a while so you will be forced to take them off - as well because they dry out quickly. Actually it is a bit disappointing though since Vassen was always known for me for it's comfortable high quality contact lenses.

Overall:
I initially wanted to try these lenses because I wanted to change my eye colour to brown but with a slightly more natural outcome than with the GEO starmish brown & basically I've achieved it with these lenses BUT the hole in the middle is way too big so quite a lot of my natural eye colour is shown which makes it look unfortunately a bit fake looking
(see second photo). Therefore, I wouldn't really recommend to buy these.
I think they are fine if you choose them in your natural eye colour tho.
However, combined with the spacy/trashy make up i've used here, they come out quite nicely - especially if you don't come too close so you won't see the difference in colour.
I've got these lenses from candylens.com

Hope this review was helpful.

yup, I got a hair cut..

GEO Nudy Gray ~ Circle Lens Review ♪

Hello everyone ~
soo this is a review about my favourite pair of circle lenses!
The G.E.O. Nudy Gray lenses ! o(^_-)O

This is what they look like :

OK so here are the facts !

Diameter: 14,2 mm
Water Content: 42%
Base Curve: 8,6mm
Replacement: 12 months

This is what they look like when I wear them (and I wear them nearly everyday) :

sorry for the bad quality of the photos as well ~ I saved them all from my snapchat to be honest.. ´д` ;

this one is hopefully a better quality

now let's come to...

Comfort:
The lenses are super comfortable and when wearing them you hardly notice they are even there! they are very soft and don't sting or hurt when you put them in. I wear mine almost every day and I love them so much ~ the only thing you should keep in mind is that they dry out after about 6-7 hours so you should take them out and put them back in the containers to refresh.

Enlargement:
The enlargement is not that great since the lenses have quite a natural look and their diameter is only 14,2mm. even though they make your face (especially on lighter natural eye colours) appear really cute and dolly and they give your eyes a nice shape.

Overall:
they are my absolute favourites since you can wear them with almost every look and match them with any make up you like!
I usually wear only light make up to make it look more natural and I really like the effect they can add to this. it's like it's natural ~ but hey, somewhat special though!
they are also very comfortable which makes wearing them even easier and more fun. :3

Here's one more photo with more of a "going out make up" ~
I hope you like it and this review was quite helpful for you!

p.s.: I've got my lenses from candylens!  ~ check it out *・゜゚・*:.)^o^(

Study Week, Exeter & Halloween!☆彡

this Weekend i didn't spend much time at home
- since i had to study for the assessments last weekend
there was a lot of partying to catch up with lol .  -

Well, after the assessments my teachers, so far, consider me to be a good student which i am very glad about and i will try my best to prove them right in the future.
I've had a good report o(^-^)o !!

And of course there was Halloween as well, which i've celebrated with (not so) creepy vampire make up, the best music and a few cocktails! (*^^*)

look at this creepy-cute little friend, Mr. Pumpkin, whom i've carved with my house mates! ー( ̄0 ̄)

The day before yesterday we went to exeter to go shopping and to bring the macbook of my friend to the appstore because it didn't work appropriately..
Photos of Exeter, which is wonderful for a shopping trip - they even have an urban outfitters shop & this lovely, little china town! (*^^*)
